Cuisine Built Around Your Match at Victoria National
From a casual Sunday round and brats with friends, to a match and plated lunch with clients, Victoria National has casually elegant, unpretentious Midwestern American cuisine to suit any palate.
This season’s dinner menu includes crispy fried oysters, New England clam chowder, marinated brick chicken, salmon steak, black truffle tagliatelle with scallops, and three of the most succulent Piedmontese cuts: filet, New York strip, and a bone-in ribeye.
Each menu is designed to give you a few ideas, and we can customize any meal or experience to your preference, and even deliver it to you at the cottage or the turn. Below are a few of our favorite offerings this year.
On the Course
To help members make the most of daylight this season, the Vic Grille is offering sack lunches to take out on the course. Each meal features a sandwich, local Grippo’s barbecue flavored chips (housemade chips coming soon!), and a Piedmontese jerky stick. “Miners Plate” offerings include double smashburgers, loaded hot dogs, Cubano, Cajun turkey melt, cold cuts, chicken salad, or a charcuterie board.
To stay hydrated we recommend an iced selection from the beer cooler or maybe even Vic’s custom canned cocktail Azelea.
After Your Round
Following your 18 or 36, you’re invited to a full-service evening experience at the clubhouse, starting at the Bridges Room. This cozy bourbon bar, named for the course’s picturesque wooden paths, is the perfect spot to relax after play and before dinner (and has Manhattans on tap!). The lounge features leather club chairs, a fireplace, and if requested, can seat up to 16 for private dining.
The Bridges Room “relaxation station” is open late, as anyone who’s played Vic knows that matches can run well into the evening. Steakhouse appetizers and specialty whiskeys are a natural pairing, but don’t let the liquor mellow too long on ice or you’ll miss the special cube stamp.
Formal dining in the Peabody Room offers scenic views of the course, with the 8-top overlooking the #9 green a popular seating choice.
This season, Vic is offering a Piedmontese Tasting experience, a family style steakhouse dinner featuring all the house cuts of Piedmontese. It has been a hit so far with members, so much so that staff is calling the aforementioned 8-top “the perfect view for the perfect tasting.” (For smaller parties, we recommend the square 4-top overlooking the 18th.)
