BRIGGS RANCH
Briggs Ranch is a private golf club in San Antonio, Texas, designed by Tom Fazio. Briggs Ranch became the third club to join Dormie Network when it was acquired in 2017. Briggs Ranch is the epitome of pure, understated Texas. The massive iron gate greets you as you arrive on property, but once you drive past the Spanish-styled clubhouse and hook right to pass the lit putting green, the casitas are what truly bring you home. The course is set across the rolling terrain of Texas Hill Country, offering an experience interesting yet friendly enough to play every day. Arguably the most relaxed in the Dormie Network collection. Bring your pressed and starched blue jeans.
Briggs Ranch is an ideal destination for building relationships, whether through group golf trips, business retreats, or family leisure travel. Onsite amenities include southwestern-style casitas, Tex-Mex-influenced cuisine, a boutique golf shop, and a concierge team to coordinate logistics and trip planning. As part of Dormie Network membership, access to the club and its amenities is reserved for members and their invited guests.
Welcome to Texas Hill Country
The golf course at Briggs Ranch is an 18-hole parkland layout designed by legendary architect Tom Fazio. Known as the friendliest course in the Dormie Network portfolio, it seamlessly captures the natural majesty of the rolling Texas Hill Country. The design strikes a perfect balance, offering an engaging strategic challenge for low handicappers alongside a fun, forgiving experience for casual players. Adding to the authentic Texas atmosphere, members and guests can say hello to Jack and Jose, the club's resident Longhorn steer mascots. Onsite golf amenities also include a driving range, a putting green, and a head golf professional.
To preserve the private club experience, tee times at Briggs Ranch are spaced at generous 15-minute intervals. This minimizes course traffic and ensures pristine course conditions year-round. The tradition of caddies remains an essential part of the Briggs Ranch experience, with caddie and forecaddie services providing valuable course knowledge, strategic guidance, and personalized support throughout each round.

The Clubhouse at Briggs Ranch
The distinctively Texan clubhouse at Briggs Ranch, replete with Spanish-style tiling and a terra-cotta roof, offers a variety of dining and meeting spaces to suit parties of all sizes.
The main dining room at the front seats up to 40, while the Mixed Grill dining space at the back can seat up to 50 and has a surprise: tucked away near the entrance is a bourbon bar with more than 40 rare liquors. The wine room is home to the Chef’s Table Experience and features a fireplace and seating for eight. The sizable outdoor terrace—a favorite in the winter and spring months—has a capacity of 40 and the outdoor veranda, overlooking the 18th green, provides another unique dining opportunity for 18.
Southwestern-Styled Casitas
Lodging at Briggs Ranch is referred to as casitas. Nestled into the tree line to the left of the first hole sit four-bedroom casitas styled with classic Southwestern accents, a fireplace and lounge in the common area, and a walk-out patio on which to relax after wrapping up a match.
There are 60 total beds across ten Dormie Casitas, four Executive Casitas, and one Premier Casita. Entertainment features and amenities vary by type, allowing groups to choose accommodations that best fit their experience.
Each casita features private master suites with en-suite bathrooms, comfortable common areas, and wet bars. The spacious layouts also provide flexible settings for small meetings, private dinners, and casual gatherings after a day on the course.
Bold, Tex-Mex Cuisine
The culinary program at Briggs Ranch showcases a bold, sophisticated Tex-Mex influence, placing fresh regional spices and authentic wood-fired flavors at the forefront. The signature highlight of the property is the Truck Stop, a custom mobile bar and grill parked onsite, serving up fresh street tacos and cold drinks to players right on the course, perfect for mid-round fuel or late-night social hours. You won’t go long at Briggs Ranch without someone recommending the club’s signature cocktail, Ranch Water.
