The Dishes & Drinks You’ll Find at Dormie Club

Dormie Club | West End, North Carolina

At Dormie Club, Southern Charm meets Carolina seafood, creating a culinary experience as rich as its history in the home of American golf.

Executive Chef Josh Reeves brings a wealth of Southern culinary expertise to the table. Hailing from Atlanta, he started with Dormie Network at Briggs Ranch in San Antonio, Texas where he ran with the Tex-Mex flavors to craft a unique menu. Now at the helm of Dormie Club's kitchen, Chef Reeves is embracing his roots with the cuisine he grew up with.

Dining Spaces

Dormie Club’s Clubhouse captures the essence of traditional tobacco barns found in rural North Carolina. “One thing we are very proud of is what we offer at the Comfort Station. Being in the heartland of golf, Comfort Station food items have become some of the most talked about experiences. So, we put just as much passion into the food there as in the dining room.” Chef Reeves' dedication to crafting memorable dining experiences is evident in every setting.

In 2022, Dormie Club's distinctive dining spaces earned the title of 3rd best in the New F&B Facility category of the Golf Inc. Golden Fork Awards.

Locally Inspired Menu

Chef Reeves and his team create dishes and drinks highly influenced by the local flavors.

“When arriving at Dormie Club in Pinehurst NC, I was excited to start diving into the menu there. Southeastern cuisine is in my blood and what I do best. This region has some of the best produce and local artisan ingredients that you can possibly imagine. This allows us to be ever-changing and creative with our menus. When dining at Dormie Club, we want you to really feel the southern charm of North Carolina. All the local ingredients we use tell a story. Some of our dishes may spark a memory from your childhood or family tradition if you are from the Southeast. What we are doing here is simple food done right at a high level.”

Flavors Impress Every Season

Each season, the culinary team brings new and exciting flavors to the menu. This fall, start your meal with Fried Green Tomatoes topped with pepper jelly and local goat cheese, or indulge in Sweet Potatoes drizzled with butter, pecans, and bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup. For main courses, savor the Shrimp Étouffée featuring local shrimp, Creole gravy, and Carolina Gold rice, or try the Southern Fried Berkshire Pork Chop accompanied with pan gravy, shaved fennel salad, and baby herbs. Don’t miss our small plates, including She Crab Soup with sherry and fried saltines, or the Oyster Gratin with Carolina oysters, spinach, and cream.

Guest Favorites and Signature Dishes

As Chef Reeves said, it’s often simple food that shines the brightest, and at Dormie Club, the elevated take on classics is no exception. “Our Fried Bologna Sandwich is becoming the most talked about dish we have ever offered. It is a North Carolina Staple and very golfer-friendly. Our house-made steamed hotdogs are always a favorite, especially done the North Carolina way with chili and cheese. Grab-and-go cold sandwiches such as pimento cheese, egg salad, and PB&J are always exceeding expectations,” says Chef Reeves.

The Fried Bologna sandwich is made with Brasstown bologna, house-made chow chow (a pickled vegetable relish), smoky mayo, hot mustard, and topped with salt & vinegar chips all on a Martins potato roll. You can find this fan favorite at the Comfort Station, alongside other tasty snacks like boiled peanuts, sugar smack bacon, and brown butter rice krispy treats.

And when you’re at Dormie Club, the BBQ is a must-try.

Drinks to Pair with Your Palette

A refreshing drink on and off the course, the One Iron is a signature cocktail and one of the favorites at Dormie Club. It is made fresh with Tito’s, Fresca, and cranberry juice with a lime garnish. For those moments when you’re on the go, grab one of our signature drinks canned! At the Comfort Station, Transfusion or Orange-Creamsicle slushies are a fan favorite.

Customized Dining

Each morning, enjoy freshly brewed coffee and a delicious breakfast in the Clubhouse Dining Room. If you’re seeking something more personalized, our culinary team is ready to cater to your cravings. Need a post-round pick-me-up? Let us know and we’ll greet you on 18 with a transfusion in hand. If you prefer to dine in the comfort of your cottage, we’ll cater your dinner right in. This is ideal for Owner’s Cottage guests because of the larger table seating.

For Dormie Club’s family style and cottage dinners, there is a Carolina Whole Hog experience, a Southern Steakhouse experience, and a Coastal Carolina experience with all the Southern favorites.
