Recap: Hidden Creek Fall Invitational
Hidden Creek’s fall Member-Guest was held October 7 – 9 and showcased excellent autumnal New Jersey weather and colors.
The event started off with a bang: following the practice round, players were treated to a welcome party with dinner, music, and games including a Trackman long drive contest and spotlit target driving.
Teams were divided into six flights (determined by combined team index) in a round-robin against others within the flight for points, with the most points determining flight winners. Two wildcards (determined by most points to not win their flight and most points on day two) joined the shootout.
The shootout (alternate shot between partners) was one to remember, from start to finish. There was an 8-way tie on Hole 1, which required an 8-way chip-off to eliminate three teams. Hole 8 also had a tie, so three teams chipped-off to eliminate two. The final hole (#9) brought three teams to determine the overall champions, and Scott Pollack and Ted Schroeder (pictured below) of the Bally Flight emerged victorious by draining a 40-foot bomb of a putt for birdie.
Congrats to all of the Invitational’s flight winners:
