Briggs Ranch Golf Club Is Acquired, Joins Network Of Private Destination Courses
Nebraska-based golf investment company Hana Golf, LLC has purchased Briggs Ranch Golf Club (www.briggsgolf.com), a private destination course located in San Antonio, Texas. With the acquisition, Briggs Ranch joins a network of private destination clubs providing full-service amenities and well-maintained golf courses primarily serving the needs of executives and corporate entities for retreats and other events.
Developed in 2001, Briggs Ranch Golf Club spans a 260-acre site approximately 20 minutes west of downtown San Antonio. The property includes an 18-acre practice facility, a nationally ranked Tom Fazio-designed course, and a full-service clubhouse. The course features five sets of tees and measures up to 7,247 yards with a rating of 75.7 and slope of 139. Tees, fairways, and rough at Briggs are all zoysia, and greens are bentgrass. The 15,000-square-foot clubhouse features full-service locker rooms and fitness facilities, a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining spaces, and venue space for meetings and special events.
The transaction was facilitated by listing broker Keith Cubba, who serves as national director of Colliers Golf Course Advisory Services. The course will be managed by Nebraska-based Landscapes Unlimited, LLC (www.landscapesunlimited.com), which will also oversee the addition of on-site lodging accommodations (the planning of which is already underway).
With the acquisition, Briggs Ranch joins the ranks of ArborLinks (www.arborlinks.com) in Nebraska City, Nebraska and Ballyhack Golf Club (www.ballyhackgolfclub.com) in Roanoke, Virginia (in conjunction with Kula Golf, LLC) as part of a network of private courses. Memberships extend access to all three courses—each of which is currently rated among the 10 best in its respective state.
