Victoria National Announces Details of Korn Ferry Tour Championship

After a year with no fans, spectators will be back in the crowd at Victoria National Golf Club for the tenth annual Korn Ferry Tour Championship. The tournament begins in Newburgh at Victoria National on Sunday, August 29 with the beginning of the pro-am tournament, and the event concludes on Sunday, September 5 with the end of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, and local Indiana leaders are excited to have more events returning to the area “Last year's tour championships felt a lot different because of restrictions that were in place," said Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.

"This year, it’s going to feel a lot different than last year, and that’s a good thing, and as we get back to whatever normal was like, it’s just a really liberating feeling.” And the golf pro at Victoria National promises you’ll see lots of PGA professionals and some great shots.

“When I’m talking about the event to my friends and the members, it’s a simple reminder of how many of those players that were just there the year before actually win tour events the next year," said Tom Rose.

"It’s absolutely incredible. The level of talent is so strong out there.” And the event isn't just about the incredible golf that will be going on. All net proceeds of this event will be going to help local early education programs other charities.

Jack Pate - Chair - Golf Gives Back “This year our charitable focus is 4C of Southern Indiana, and that’s for early childhood development, particularly high quality pre-kindergarten education," said Jack Pate, chair of Golf Gives Back. In the last nine years of the event, the tournament had raised nearly $2 million for local charitable organizations.
