Titleist Golf Balls: What’s New? - Four new products you might want to try

This October, Titleist has released some new golf balls and added new features to some of their current models. Below is everything you need to know about the new products you will soon see in Dormie Network Golf Shops around the network. As always, your golf professional staff is on-site to help choose the right ball for you!

DT TruFeel: Distance and Control
The DT Titleist golf ball has gone through a few updates over the last 20+ years. You’ve probably played the last few versions of this ball over the years, as it has been a Titleist mainstay. With the latest release, the DT TruSoft will be replaced with the new DT TruFeel. The TruFeel is the softest Titleist golf ball with low spin, for added distance and excellent control around the green.

Titleist has completely redesigned and rethought the DT golf ball. The new TruFeel ball combines a brand-new TruCore interior, with the proprietary TruFlex cover, wrapped with a new aerodynamic pattern of dimples for added distance. This means that you will still see the added distance with a one-piece core, that you’ve grown to expect with the DT. But now with the new softer TruFlex cover, you’ll gain the feel and softness that you see in the ProV1, while maintaining the mid-price point. TruFeel is available in traditional white, matte yellow, and new matte red color. The new Titleist DT TruFeel is now available in all Dormie Network Golf Shops!

Titleist Releases Experimental EXP•01 Golf Ball
The Titleist Golf Ball Research & Development team is comprised of more than 75 associates—from chemical engineers and mathematicians, to materials scientists and aerodynamics physicists—driven by a commitment of continuous improvement and innovation. The EXP•01 is being released as part of the Titleist EXP Project, a new and ongoing initiative created to provide golfers the opportunity to experience new golf ball technologies still in the experimental phase. The Titleist R&D and Golf Ball Product Management teams will be actively seeking performance feedback from golfers who play EXP•01 during its availability.

“The EXP Project invites golfers into the early stages of our R&D process, and allows us to broadly test experimental materials, constructions and processes that could be integrated into any segment of our golf ball line,” said Michael Mahoney, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball Marketing. “EXP•01 is truly an exploratory product and there’s no better way to evaluate our progress than getting it into the hands of dedicated golfers.”

Titleist EXP•01 golf ball

EXP•01 is an experimental golf ball straight from the Titleist R&D laboratory featuring a multilayer construction with a high-performance urethane cover formulation.

- MTR DEVELOPMENTAL COVER SYSTEM: The short game spin enhancing urethane prototype cover was developed through Titleist’s relentless material and process experimentation.
- INNOVATIVE CORE TECHNOLOGY: A high-speed core construction and specialized casing layer deliver low spin on long game shots for great distance and tight dispersion.
- PROPRIETARY 346 DIMPLE DESIGN: Through testing, the proprietary aerodynamic package has demonstrated an optimized flight profile for peak performance.

The EXP•01 is available only for a limited time, with limited quantities in each Dormie Network Golf Shop. Contact your golf professionals to inquire about getting your hands on the prototype EXP•01 today!

ProV1 Enhanced Alignment
The Titleist ProV1 and ProV1x have maybe gotten even better! The ProV1 and ProV1x are now available with Titleist’s enhanced alignment marking on the side of the golf ball. Many golfers like to take a Sharpie and draw a line or some form of lines on the side of our golf ball for putting and alignment. Well, with these new markings already on the ball, you’ll no longer have to struggle to find your Sharpie in your bag and try to make sure your line is straight.

Titleist ProV1 and ProV1X golf ball

The ProV1 and ProV1x will be available in our Dormie Network Golf Shops both with the Enhanced Alignment markings and without. Please inquire with your golf professional staff to check out the new alignment markings and see if it fits your eye!

Tour Issue: ProV1x Left Dash
We are all aware that the golf balls that the TOUR Pros use, are not always the same golf ball that are sold in golf shops and sporting good stores. For most Tour Pros, the ProV1 or ProV1x is an excellent ball and performs at a very high level. However, there are a few “Tour Only” versions of the ProV1 that are specifically produced for TOUR players. The specifications vary in trajectory, spin, and feel slightly different from one another.

By popular demand from the amateur players, Titleist has released the most-asked-for TOUR ball they offer to their playing professionals: the -ProV1x “Left Dash.” The left-dash version of the ProV1x is designed for players seeking high flight, similar to what they would see with the ProV1, but with dramatically lower full-swing spin and a firmer feel.

The ProV1x left-dash is designed to fit players with unique launch conditions. Titleist has always pushed the boundaries of which new technologies can be combined to achieve maximum results for all players. The ProV1x left-dash will be available in limited quantities in our Dormie Network Golf Shops but can be special-ordered in larger amounts. Please contact your golf professional to learn mor

As always, I encourage you to discuss your golf ball of choice with your golf professional staff. Dormie Network golf professionals across the network can fit you with the right ball for your game.
