Beyond the Golf Shop Walls: How Merchandise Managers Enhance Your Experience Onsite

When it comes to the unforgettable Dormie Network experience, no detail is overlooked. Hospitality being at the forefront pervades every aspect, including our golf shop and the services provided by our merchandise managers.

When your group arrives at the clubhouse, you’ll find your favorite cocktails waiting for you. After finishing them at the clubhouse, you grab a golf cart and make your way to your cottage. You start by taking a tour of your accommodations, checking out the stocked bar full of hand-picked, local snacks and drinks. Moving to the living area, the fireplace is ablaze, and TV is on Golf Channel. In your private suite, your luggage is already unloaded, the lights are dimmed, and you find a welcome gift lying on your bed. The gift includes all the golf gear you’ll need for tomorrow’s round and a custom hat to commemorate your trip, reminding you of the good times every time you put it on.

Whether you’re hosting your business partners or friends, there’s no better way to start your trip than letting your group know you’re excited they’re there and welcoming them with a gift is one way to do that.

An often overlooked yet integral part of the Dormie Network experience is the golf shop, and even more so, the merchandise managers at each club. From personal shopping to welcome gifts, and everything in between, merchandise managers have their hands in a variety of different undertakings. They’re the caretaker of their golf shop, enhancing your experience onsite in ways that you’ll want to utilize during your next trip.

Carefully curated golf shops with hand-picked products unique to each club

Every polo your fingers graze, every quarter zip you try on, every product that catches your eye has also caught our merchandisers’ eyes. Each merchandiser meticulously selects the products for their golf shops following the club’s aesthetic, climate, and their own principles. The club’s overall aesthetic serves as an undertone in color and pattern choices, while the climate serves as a guide for choosing different products, whether that’s cold weather layers or moisture-wicking fabrics.

Through education by brand representatives about the newest products, latest features, and rising trends, and their own experiential knowledge, merchandise managers carefully curate their shops with hand-picked products they know members will want. Of course, you’ll find staples across the Network, but each golf shop exudes unique charm.

Starting your trip off right

First impressions are important, and welcome gifts are a sure way to introduce your trip memorably. Merchandise managers will work with your preferences and budget to help you put a smile on your guests’ faces. You can cover the basics with all the essential golf accessories including a sleeve of golf balls, socks, and a towel (especially necessary at Victoria National), add to their hat collection with a club-branded hat, or send them home with a leather duffel to carry everything they find in the golf shop.

Enjoy seamless personal shopping with the experts

Whether you're shopping for yourself or someone else, finding the perfect gear (or gift) is effortless when you’re shopping with a merchandise manager. Fully informed about new brands, products, and features, they are experts at understanding the slight variations between brands, which can make a big difference in fit, feel, and comfort. Our merchandise managers will take your preferences along with those brand variations to make the best selection—which could feel like the difference between getting a proper warm-up or your first shot of the day being on hole 1.

Style is personal and so is your experience

Your style is personal, and so is your experience in our golf shops. Our merchandise managers will thoughtfully find the perfect pieces and style them head to toe to your tastes. Whether you’re sticking to what you know or trying something new, styling is a formula that our merchandise managers utilize every day.

Unique tee gifts for member-guest events like no othe

Unique tee gifts are required for the best member-guest events in the game. Not everyone will walk off the course as tournament champions, but everyone will take home a prize. Tee gifts are event-branded and can’t be found in the golf shop; they’re exclusive, just like the event itself. Memorable tee gifts include custom Tecovas boots at the Briggs Ranch Member-Guest and a Titleist TSR driver powered by a UST Mamiya shaft fitted to tournament participants at the Hidden Creek Member-Guest

Customizing your trip includes customizing merch

Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, custom merchandise should always be in the plan. While custom merchandise is more common for business trips, it can take your friends’ trip to the next level. Our merchandise manager will work with you to design your apparel and ensure it's ready for you when you step onsite. There’s something special about taking pride in your relationships and commemorating your trip with custom merch (that only your group will have) allows the memories to last beyond the weekend.
